A very simplified ‘Rule of Thumb’ is to treat your mask like your underwear – wash it as regularly as you would your underwear, which is hopefully pretty often!!!
…But What Else Should You Do?
Before Wearing Your New Mask
-
-
- Make sure you wash your mask before you wear it.
- Wash using soap or detergent – either hand wash or in the washing machine.
- Dry in a dryer or on the clothes line, preferably in direct sunlight.
- Once fully dry, place your mask on your face & use nosepiece and adjustable ear toggles for the best fit.
-
Continue to wash your mask regularly, when in use. How often you’ll need to wash it, will depend on how much you’re wearing it….so follow the underwear rule!
PM2.5 Filters
***PM2.5 Filters Are Not Washable!***
PM2.5 filters are disposable & will need to be changed every so often, depending on how much you use your mask. If you are wearing your mask most of the day, every day, you’ll need to look at changing the filter every couple of days. If you are not wearing your mask very often, then you may find that your filter will last a week or so before it needs changing.
